The Modern is a black address plate that blends minimalist design with clear visibility. Paired with white or brushed aluminum numbers, it delivers strong contrast for enhanced readability. Designed to suit both new builds and renovated façades, it can be installed horizontally or vertically and works well for properties close to—or slightly set back from—the street. Made in Quebec, it’s built for durability, simplicity, and easy installation.

Product Details

• Integrated threaded rods
Three 1.5" threaded rods are mounted on the back of the plate, allowing for a secure installation with no visible hardware. This system ensures a straight, stable mount on most exterior surfaces. The effective anchoring depth is 1.5", and the plate sits slightly off the wall thanks to the rear hardware.

• Plate and numeral thickness
The plaque is made from 1/4" (6 mm) thick ACP. The numbers measure 4.25" in height and 1/8" in thickness. Depending on the selected color, the material varies: the white option is made from acrylic, while the brushed aluminum finish is made from ACP. Both options deliver a clean, durable finish.

• Complete assembly
The Modern arrives fully assembled—numbers positioned, bonded, and aligned by our team. Unlike hardware-store plates, everything is ready to install right out of the box. As this is a custom-made product, all sales are final.

Durable, weather-resistant material

• Architectural grade ACP
The plaque is made from architectural-grade ACP (aluminum composite panel), consisting of two aluminum sheets bonded to a polyethylene core. This rigid, lightweight, rust-resistant material is ideally suited for outdoor environments. It maintains long-term stability and will not warp over time.

• Resistance to the elements
ACP retains its shape even when exposed to the elements. It naturally resists UV exposure, freeze–thaw cycles, moisture, heat, and temperature fluctuations—without cracking or deforming.

• Durable finish
Brushed aluminum numbers are made from the same ACP material, while white numbers are crafted from high-quality acrylic. Both options offer a clean, uniform surface designed to withstand the seasons without fading. Simple cleaning with mild soap is all that’s needed to maintain their appearance.

Installation options

• Standard installation
The plaque is equipped with three 1.75" threaded rods mounted on the back, ensuring a secure installation with no visible hardware. The included kit features an all-purpose drill bit, mini marker, adhesive level, small tube of silicone, and a positioning template for precise alignment. This installation method is suitable for most solid exterior surfaces, including vinyl, wood, brick, fiber cement, and stone.

• Glued installation
For a drill-free installation, the plate can be mounted using the industrial double-sided adhesive roller. Multiple layers can be applied to adjust thickness and compensate for slight surface variations. This option is ideal for surfaces where drilling is not recommended, such as aluminum or steel. No positioning template is required for this installation method.

Available characters

• Numbers and letters available
The Modern model can be customized with numbers 0 to 9, letters A to F, and a hyphen (e.g., 101-1).

Measures

• Plate dimensions
The plate measures 6.5" in height and is available in lengths of 9", 11.5", 15", and 19". Each length supports a maximum number of characters: 9" fits 1 or 2 numbers, 11.5" fits 3, 15" fits 4, and 19" fits 5. You may choose a longer plate for aesthetic reasons, but never a shorter one than your address requires.

• Digit dimensions
The numbers measure approximately 4.25" in height and 1/8" in thickness, whether in white (acrylic) or brushed aluminum finish (ACP). Minor variations between characters are normal to respect the typography and maintain a visually balanced result.

• Product thickness
The plate is 1/4'' (6 mm) thick. The numbers are glued directly to the plate for a clean, even finish.

• Installation depth
The threaded rods provide an actual 1.75'' anchor in the siding, allowing for a stable and discreet installation.

FAQ

My Address Number has a letter, is it compatible?

Yes. The Modern model can include a letter. We offer characters from A to F, as well as a hyphen, in addition to numbers 0 to 9. You can preview your address with a letter directly in our visualizer.
This model allows numbers, letters and dashes to be clearly displayed on the same plate.

My sidind is uneven, can I install a address plaque Modern?

Yes. If your surface has slight variations—such as CanExel siding or ledge stone—the standard rod installation allows you to adjust depth during drilling. With adhesive installation, the double-sided adhesive can also compensate for minor surface differences. For highly irregular surfaces, such as fieldstone, individual numbers are often a better option, as the length of each rod can be adjusted independently.
The modern one is easy to install on most exterior siding.

How far is the Address plaque visible ?

4.25" numbers provide good readability from up to approximately 42 feet, which corresponds to a driveway length of about two to three cars.
This format is ideal for homes close to or at medium distance from the street.

Is it possible to have an address plaque stainless steel with black numbers?

We do not offer stainless steel plates or black numbers. The Modern model is available only with a black plate and white numbers, or in a brushed aluminum finish. These color options are chosen specifically for their contrast and readability, as lighter tones are easier for the eye to perceive.
Our product has the finish that reads best on your siding.

A Practical Guide to Choosing the Right House Numbers

  • Choosing the right length

Each plate length supports a maximum number of characters depending on the chosen orientation.Horizontal: 9" fits up to 2 numbers, 11.5" up to 3, 15" up to 4, and 19" up to 5. Vertical: 9" fits 1 number, 11.5" fits 2, 15" fits 3, and 19" fits 4. There is no vertical plate option for 5 numbers. You may choose a longer plate for aesthetic reasons, but never a shorter one than your address requires. For a more impactful format, we also recommend looking at the Large Modern option. Our suggested formats ensure a balanced look.

  • Choose orientation: horizontal or vertical

The Modern model can be installed either horizontally or vertically, depending on the available space and the style of your façade. Vertical orientation works especially well in narrow areas such as posts, slim walls, or tight entryways—and it’s a very popular look right now. Horizontal installation is ideal above a door, near a light fixture, or on wider façades. The right choice mainly depends on the location and the look you want to achieve.
A space-appropriate orientation highlights your address in style.

  • Choosing the right type of installation

Standard rod installation is suitable for most exterior surfaces, including vinyl, wood, brick, fiber cement, and stone. It provides a strong, long-lasting installation. Adhesive installation, using the double-sided adhesive roller, is ideal for surfaces where drilling is not desired—such as aluminum or steel—and can also help compensate for slight surface irregularities. Each installation method has its advantages depending on your outdoor area.
